Dikkedeur Heemraadssingel is situated at the lovely Heemraadssingel, constructed during the first years of the 20^th century. A long time ago the monumental building functioned as a children’s home; with its many light and spacious rooms it now offers (since 2001) Dikkedeur every possibility to realise proper Dikkedeur care. At Dikkedeur Heemraadssingel there are horizontal age-bounded groups (subdivided by babies and toddlers. The children can go outside in a large, park-like outdoor play-area, but they can also go to a playground nearby, walk along the Heemraadssingel and of course go to Blijdorp Zoo. For the youngest we have a beautiful and age appropriately decorated baby-terrace. Extras are available in the form of a sand-table and a trampoline-room.
