Procedure
From the moment you know you are expecting you can register at Dikkedeur. This is recommended, considering the high demand for child-care at Dikkedeur. Registering via het registration-form is non-committal; however it does mean you will be placed on the waiting list that day. After receiving your registration we invite you for a personal meeting and a tour. Of course it is also possible for you to come and have a look around at Dikkedeur, prior to registration. Please contact Dikkedeur: info@dikkedeur.nl, to make an appointment. We will schedule an appointment with the division manager who will tell you about our pedagogic policy and show you around the premises.
Costs
The Childcare Act (wet kinderopvang) manages the division of costs of the child-care, basically as follows: one third of the costs are being carried by the parents, one third by employers and one third by the government. In practice this means that an hourly rate for the care of your child is calculated and that you receive compensation from the tax administration (belastingdienst) to cover part of the costs. The amount of compensation you receive depends on your (joint) income and will be remitted for the costs up to a maximum hourly rate.
Good and affordable care
Dikkedeur strives for the best care for your child against an affordable price. For day-care the price per hour is € 11,69 (2024). Included in this price are all daily necessities for care (milk, fruit, food, diapers, etc.) and of course the warm meals from toddlerhood. For BSO the price per hour is € 9,98 (2024). The amount you actually pay depends on your (joint) income and the number of children you have placed in care and, in general, is considerably lower.
Request compensation timely
The tax administration takes up to 6 weeks to process your application. So it is wise to fill in the request form, available at their website, as soon as possible. If you do not understand something or have any questions regarding the form, we are happy to help.
